What is this we call darkness?

Darkness is much more than the absence of light or knowledge. Such Realization has arisen, little by little, in the journey of transforming ourselves.

When we use the term “darkness” on the path of Realization, we go beyond the ordinary definition and refer with it to a lack of awareness in understanding the mechanics of Reality, that is, the functioning of all that we know.

If Realization, in a very simplified way, alludes to a state of continuous and perpetual Happiness, obviously far superior to that state of Peace or Balance, we could then infer that darkness is about everything that prevents us from remaining Happy.

This way we move from a concept that exposes absence to one of abundant nature in “testing” situations. This expansion in the concept provides —to those whose occupation is to transform darkness— a greater focus and understanding, and therefore a better result of our activity.

Moreover, it leads us to the conclusion that the only possible place where such darkness could exist is within us, for which we are the only responsible for its existence in our Reality.

Certainly, this concept of “darkness” presents us with a greater challenge, but it allows us to identify with much more clarity all that is to be transformed in ourselves in order to advance on the only path that is our true responsibility and sole purpose: Realization.
